H is for Holocaust
2019, I think. A few paintings, abstracts started from images in a film called 'Night Will Fall', a documentary made just after the end of WWII depicting the horror of the concentrations camps in Nazi occupied Europe. Paintings can in no way depict this subject, but an attempt is made at least to witness, to wonder about the individuals whose destroyed bodies were piled and tangled, to stare at their rotting faces wondering who they were, their names, their families, their terror, and to paint while doing so.
